Spiced Persimmon Turmeric Tea
- Sweeten as you desire
- 1 large fuyu or 2 small fuyu persimmon (thin slices)
- 6 good quality cinnamon sticks (recommended Ceylon cinnamon)
- 1 teaspoon of good quality fresh peppercorns
- 3 inch piece of ginger, peeled and on thin slices
- 3 inch piece of turmeric root, peeled and thinly sliced
- 8 cups or 64 ounces of water
- Put the water to boil and then add the peppercorns, turmeric, ginger, persimmon slices and cinnamon sticks. Then lower the heat a little bit and let the tea to simmer for half an hour.
- Use a fine mesh strainer to strain the tea or simply use a coffee filter.
- Then you can pour it in bowls or cups. The persimmon slices will be softened and can be added as well, or use some fresh slices, to sweeten the taste.
- You can cool the tea a little bit before drinking, and then you can keep it in your fridge to keep it for a few days.
Cinnamon and Lemon Tea
- 1 or 2 tablespoons of raw honey
- 3 or 4 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
- 2 tea bags
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 4 cloves
- 4 cups of water
- A few lemon slices for decoration
- Put the water, cloves and the cinnamon in a pot and put them on heat to boil.
- Remove it from the heat and put the tea bags in.
- Steep it for about 5 minutes.
- Get the tea bags out and add the honey and lemon inside. Put the mixture on low heat for a while, in order to warm it.
- Then when the mixture is hot enough, strain it directly in a cup.
- Enjoy the tea.
Ginger Cinnamon Tea for the Cold Season
- 2 tablespoons of raw honey
- Freshly squeezed lemon juice from 2 lemons
- 2 cups of water
- 5 finely sliced garlic cloves
- 3 cinnamon sticks
- 2 inches sliced ginger root
- 1 inch sliced turmeric or simply get Daily Turmeric capsules
- Put the water on heat and then add the garlic, turmeric, cinnamon and ginger together to boil. Then simmer the tea for 15 minutes.
- Stir well the lemon juice and the raw honey.
- Strain the tea and add it in the mixture of honey and lemon juice.
